BOULDER, CO — April 11, 2018
With the goal of celebrating Earth Day and raising funds for local environmental non-profit organizations, Eric Larsen is hosting the second annual Get Wild to Save Wild celebration on Friday April 20 at Rayback Collective (3:00 PM – 9:00 PM). The event is free and open to the public and will include carnival-style games, gear giveaways, speaker series, adventure photo exhibit, live DJ, and more. A portion of proceeds will benefit participating non-profits.
As an accomplished polar adventurer, expedition guide, dog musher, and educator, Eric Larsen has spent the past 20 years traveling in some of the most remote and extreme environments on the planet and has completed more polar expeditions than any other American in history.
“I created Get Wild to Save Wild event to facilitate a dialogue about the value of wilderness in our lives. I also wanted to provide a fun and seamless way for people to learn about and support many of the non-profit organizations who do such valuable work on our behalf. Ultimately, my goal is for people to have fun and do good,” says Eric Larsen.
Event highlights include:
— A ‘Get Wild’ photo exhibit from Zeal Optics in their airstream trailer, highlighting some of Colorado’s best photographers.
— Presentations from local adventurers discussing topics such as wild adventures dogsledding in Greenland to surviving some of the scariest climbs.
— Music by outdoor lover and local spinmaster DJ Steve

The 2018 Get Wild to Save Wild Earth Day Celebration is part of Eric Larsen’s ongoing efforts to support local non-profits who are the front lines of natural resource conservation, open space, and public lands advocacy.
