Boulder, Colorado (November 7, 2019) – Ultimate Direction, the leading brand in hydration and wearable gear innovations, announces the dramatic conclusion to this season’s adventure running and travel series, Run Around the World. Produced by Ben Clark, it features UD ambassadors Jason Schlarb and Meredith “Merejune” Edwards.
The stage is Chamonix, France in the Mont Blanc valley where the world’s best runners gather. It can only mean one thing: race week at the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc (UTMB). As the “Schlarb crew” sets up in the valley, Jason reflects on his best UTMB result, a fourth place in 2014. Could he do better in 2019?
With a dream to become the first-ever American winner, Jason is fueled with motivation to have the best day of his career, while honoring a promise made to his young son Felix. While racers buzz around the start line and the drama builds, Jason’s partner and UTMB crew chief Merejune is by his side. Here begins the most challenging physical and mental test of his career.
Shot in dramatic high definition, Run Around the World is free to watch and premieres on Facebook and the Ultimate Direction Buzz Blog. Created to inspire and show how the couple deals with taking on big challenges and risks, the series gives viewers insight into what professional athletes experience behind-the-scenes.
