FOOTHILL RANCH, Calif., August 30, 2011 – The Ordinary Skier, presented by Oakley’s 1242 Productions and Constantine “CP” Papanicolaou, will premiere Friday, September 9 at the King Cat Theater in Seattle, WA, in conjunction with Poor Boyz Production’s premiere of The Grand Bizarre.
Seth Morrison has enough rockstar footage and flattering industry sound bites to create an acclaimed documentary from an editing bay. However, that would be too easy for a skier and innovator who is continuously looking ahead. So it’s no surprise that when Seth set out to make a documentary film, he decided to make it a two-year project about his present and future, in addition to his illustrious past.
“I wanted the film to show that you can make whatever you want to out of yourself,” Morrison says. “That whatever it is, if it’s driven by passion and you work hard enough, anything can happen.”
The Ordinary Skier takes audiences to Chamonix, where Morrison delved into a new chapter of his career — ski mountaineering. In his travels around the world, he is joined by Nate Wallace and fellow Oakley athletes Pep Fujas, Sean Pettit, JP Auclair, Kye Petersen and Dan Treadway.
