Terra Bella, CA (August 3, 2015)- Setton Pistachio of Terra Bella, Inc.- the nation’s second largest pistachio grower and processor and maker of Setton Farms Pistachio Chewy Bites based in California’s Central Valley – is excited to be an official sponsor of the fifth annual Paddle for a Cure fundraising event on August 8th in New York. Over 250 attendees are estimated to attend the SUP/kayak event on the iconic Hudson River.

Net proceeds from the 9-mile poker fundraiser will go to the Support Connection of Yorktown, a not-for-profit organization that provides free and confidential emotional, social, and educational support to people affected by breast and ovarian cancer.
“It was an easy decision to sponsor Paddle for a Cure,” said Setton Farms COO Mia Cohen. “We are so happy to be able to help people that are affected by cancers and Support Connection of Yorktown is such an important resource.”
Paddle for a Cure will launch from Long Dock in Beacon, NY, travel past historic Bannerman’s Island, and will end at Dockside Park in Cold Spring for a post-paddle party. Throughout the course, attendees will gather playing cards from volunteers at designated points. At the end of the route, the player with the best ‘poker’ hand will win an awesome prize.
After the paddle, participants will celebrate at the annual post-paddle picnic with lunch and libations. During the festivities, racers will have the chance to win great prizes from multiple raffle drawings. In addition, each participant will receive an event bag with a Two-Bar Pack of Pistachio Chewy Bites, Setton Farms’ newest retail item.
