shār (say it like care, fair, dare. oh, and bear), impossibly good trail mix lands a finalist spot in the 2021 Outdoor Retailer Design & Innovation Awards. What a coo to stand out not only for their perfect calibration of taste, texture, and nutrition, but for the sustainability of their mother earth loving shār-tube.
Almost 200 entrants were evaluated on design, functionality and cultural impact. “Finalists demonstrated there are solutions to challenges, and that through their ingenuity and determination, we can create a better, more accessible outdoor experience,” said Outdoor Retailer senior vice president and show director Marisa Nicholson.

In an antique wooden bowl on his kitchen counter, shār founder and CEO Peter Rushford took his time perfecting the mix, landing on nine incredible ingredients responsibly sourced from small organic family farms. This truly unique recipe has no preservatives, stabilizers, or sweeteners of any kind – just clean 100% organic ingredients grown the way nature intended.
It had to be ethical too. With a mission to help our planet by moving away from single-use-headed-for-the-landfill packaging, their earth-first, plastic free shār-tube was created. Winners will be announced on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at 6 p.m. EST/ 3 p.m. PT, in an online ceremony during Outdoor Retailer Winter Summit Days. In the meantime, you can find all Finalists on the Innovation Gallery at Winter Online beginning Jan. 6th.
