Shimano Signs on Again as Official 2016 NAHBS Sponsor
12th straight year components giant has partnered with handmade bike show
BOULDER, COLO. (1/28/2016) – The North American Handmade Bicycle Show, the world’s largest show for custom-built bicycles, is proud to announce it will again partner with Shimano for the 2016 show next month.
This year’s show will be held February 26th- 28th, at the Sacramento Convention Center in Sacramento, CA. Shimano has been an official sponsor every year since the show began in in 2005.
The world’s largest producer of cycling components, will have a sizeable presence at NAHBS, as they have every year. “Since the inception of NAHBS, Shimano has been a sponsor,” according to Marketing Manager Dustin Brady. “We continue to support the NAHBS show because it’s a key venue for small frame builders to show their creations. Their works of art are something that can be appreciated by both serious and beginning cyclists alike.”
While their booths will certainly be popular with the crowds, and full of cutting-edge technology, their purpose in sponsoring the show is not necessarily to draw attention to their own brand however, says Brady. “Our main objective is to support the builders. While we will have some giveaways at our PRO boott – adjacent to the Shimano booth – for those who stop by and chat, our main focus is simply to talk bikes and trends with show attendees.”
NAHBS returns to Sacramento in 2016 – the location that in 2012 saw the highest attendance in its 12 year history – and they hope to hit a landmark 10,000 visitors this year. Exhibitors, attendees, and media can register to attend the 2016 show at the NAHBS website now.
