SnowSports Industries America (SIA) announced today that registration (https://resources.snowsports.org/registration) and hotel reservations, including Early Bird Rates at four locations, are now open for the 2012 Snow Show and On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest. From January 26-29, 2012, the SIA Snow Show will bring the snow sports community together to get down, and get down to business in Denver, Colorado. It’s been happening for more than 50 years, attracts more than 18,000 attendees, and showcases 850+ brands from every snow sports category imaginable.
To get people started on their travel plans, a variety of Denver properties are offering exceptional “Early Bird Rates†– several priced at less than $120/night. The Early Bird Rates will expire on September 30th or when the discounted rooms are filled, whichever happens first. Show hotel reservations can be made online at siasnowshow.com/hotels. View the complete list of SIA hotels and rates at: http://www.snowsports.net/2012_show/2012_SIA_SNOW_SHOW_HOTELS.pdf
“SIA has been working with hotels and the city of Denver year-round to secure the best rates possible for Snow Show attendees,†commented SIA’s Trade Show Director, Debbie DesRoches. “We realize every business is looking to keep travel costs down and the Early Bird Rates provide some excellent deals.â€
One of the many pluses of the Show’s Denver location is the close proximity of hotels to the Colorado Convention Center as well as the city’s hundreds of restaurants, bars, music venues and entertainment. Just a short walk or free ride on the 16th Street Mall Shuttle makes a rental car unnecessary for navigating the Mile High City. Also, many hotels offer guest perks such as complimentary Wi-Fi, cookie and milk bar, made to order breakfast, happy hour and fitness centers. Be sure to ask about these when booking.
The Snow Show, which sold out in booth space earlier this summer, will feature 330,000 net square feet of snow sports innovations, inventions, major brands and hot new upstarts including 36 new exhibitors (as of today) that are either brand new to the Show or returning from a hiatus.
The On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest will once again follow the Snow Show on January 30-31 at Winter Park Resort and Devil’s Thumb Ranch; getting the industry out doing what they live for – skiing and riding. On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest properties and rates are now available. For more information: http://siasnowshow.snowsports.org/OnSnowDemoSkiRideFest/Lodging/. Booking rooms early is recommended as block rates will increase in November and Winter Park rooms sold out quickly for last year’s On-Snow Demo.
During the two-day On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest, snow sports retailers and media will test out gear and accessories they just previewed at the Show for ski, snowboard, cross country, AT, telemark, and backcountry while other attendees get time on the slopes/trails and hang with industry friends. The Demo is hosted in-conjunction with the Western Winter Sports Reps Association’s (WWSRA) Rocky Mountain Demo and in partnership with Cross Country Ski Areas Association (CCSAA).
