The two-day Nordic Demo, located in Copper’s East Village, will feature manufacturers’ 2015/2016 technology for skate skiing, classic cross country, touring and snowshoeing. The Demo’s custom built 5K Nordic trail system will incorporate short test loops and varied terrain – perfect for testing, product comparisons or just enjoying the view. Current Nordic Demo exhibitors currently include Alpina, Atomic, Fischer, Madshus, One Way, Rossignol, Salomon,SWIX.
“The terrain was great for testing, a few hills, some flats. It was really great to be able to compare so much equipment side-by-side,” said Adam Jonson, Pioneer Mountaineering.
Nordic Demo attendees will also enjoy hosted breakfasts, lunches and several educational seminars presenting great ideas and takeaways that retailers can implement back at their shops. The first seminar will be offered on Monday, February 2 at 8:30AM, entitled The State of the Nordic Market and presented by SIA’s Director of Research Kelly Davis. The seminar will give retailers an understanding of current market trends to help grow their business. For updates and a complete Nordic Demo schedule, please go to: SIAsnowshow.com/nordicdemo
“Copper has a nice mix of terrain to test track, skate and metal edged cross country skis in a very efficient manner. Teaming up with our alpine counterparts gives retailers the ability to easily test products in one convenient place and that’s good for everyone,” said Ryan Green, Rossignol.

New Demo pre-registration pricing options allow attendees to customize their experience by paying for specific services. The 3-tiered pricing options include 2-day lift tickets/trail access, transportation and food, starting at $15 for a basic package, including lift tickets/trail access and Monday night happy hour. Located 74 miles west of downtown Denver, Copper Mountain is home to the U.S. Ski Team Speed Center – the only full-length downhill early-season training facility in the world. Copper also features Woodward at Copper an indoor/outdoor year-round action sport training facility.
“We love the venue. The loops are more than enough for testing and the rolling terrain is perfect. It is nice to have some diversity,” commented Bob Wade, Ute Mountaineer.
