(SAN FRANCISCO) – Whether you’re seeking vacations near home or in far-flung destinations, lodge-based explorations or supported treks, Sierra Club National Outings offers adventures with a sense of purpose for all levels and interests. The January/February issue of Sierra magazine, the official magazine of the Sierra Club, features more than 333 new destinations and favorite trips to discover the world with like-minded travelers.

More than 80% of Sierra readers have taken 3 or more trips in the last year and always look forward to what the Outings calendar has to offer. In addition, the Outings program offers a unique added-value opportunity for our Sierra magazine partners.

“Sierra readers love to travel and the yearly Outings calendar becomes a valuable reference in their planning throughout the year,” said Kristi Rummel, Sierra Magazine National Advertising Director.

Additional articles in the latest issue include Michael Frank’s review of the best at-home devices to help you preserve your strength and stay in shape when you can’t play outdoors. The cover feature follows climber Ben Shook and action photographer Gabe Rogel on a skiing and kite surfing adventure, where they found a little bit of heaven in Antarctica. Searching the Arctic for a long-lost world of wooly mammoths and giant sloths, writer and traveler Edward Readicker-Henderson discovers a new one disappearing fast.

The issue will also have a bonus distribution at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market in Salt Lake City, UT, SnowSports Industries America Show in Denver, CO and Canoecopia in Madison, WI.
