Sierra Club Joins National Military Family Association to Get Kids Outside
Club to Sponsor Operation Purple Summer Camp Program
Washington D.C.: As part of a unique partnership the Sierra Club will announce its sponsorship of the National Military Family Association’s (NMFA) Operation Purple summer camp program. Operation Purple supports the nation’s youngest heroes through free summer camps for children of deployed military members.
The Sierra Club, through its Building Bridges to the Outdoors program is joining the NMFA in efforts to give children the benefits of an outdoor experience. This year, 3,500 deserving military children will attend one of 34 camps in 26 states.
