Sierra Designs Redefines the 'Convertible Tent'

Sierra Designs’ tent philosophy is to create gear that fundamentally provides the most comfortable, livable experience in the backcountry. New for Spring 2016, the brand is introducing the Nightwatch, a unique ‘convertible tent’, that offers maximum comfort with the added luxury of stargazing.
This fully-featured, freestanding shelter features an integrated, retractable rainfly that can be quickly and easily deployed in 3 versatile configurations. The Nightwatch features two large gear ports that act as fair weather doors when the fly is rolled back. Additional key design elements, that are present in all Sierra Design tents, include an awning in place of a vestibule, gear closets strategically placed away from the door, but easily accessible from inside or outside the tent, an uncommonly wide drop door, integrated rainfly, and hybrid wall construction that reduces weight and maximizes airflow. The Nightwatch 2, 3-season, 2-person tent, will be available early Spring 2016. MSRP: $239.95 Weight: Minimum – 4lbs 7oz, Packed – 4lbs 15oz.
The Nightwatch is also equipped with the Night Glow that illuminates your tent using nothing more than the headlamp you’re already carrying. The versatile accessory made of feather light Polyester Taffeta reflects light from a headlamp to brighten the entire tent. The Nigh Glow can be hung from the central hook, other ceiling loops, or can be strung between loops using the adjustable string lock. The Night Glow will be included in all standard Sierra Designs tents in 2016 and available separately for $14.95.
