(SAN FRANCISCO) – TodaySierra magazine, the official magazine of the Sierra Club, announced a new way to reach outdoor enthusiasts and adventurers. Exclusive pro-deals will be offered to Sierra Club’s trained and certified outings leaders.
Pro-deal listings will be e-mailed to Sierra Club Outing’s national trip leaders this spring. Leaders will be able to take advantage of these exclusive discounts and use the gear and clothing during their trips, giving trip participants a chance to see the products in action.
“The new pro-deal program builds brand awareness of outdoor products in print, online, and in person,” said Kristi Rummel, Sierra National Advertising Director. “I can’t think of a better collaboration than that between our advertising partners and the Sierra Club’s outings volunteers, who lead thousands of adventure enthusiasts on trips every year.”
Sierra Club Outings leaders have significant influence over the travelers who go on outings trips and within their community. Voted by National Geographic Traveler twice in the past 5 years as one of The Best Outfitters on Earth, Sierra Club Outings is one of the oldest and most popular outdoor adventure outfitters.
“This is a great benefit for both Sierra Club leaders and manufacturers,” said Tony Rango, Director of Sierra Club National Outings and Program Safety. “Leaders get an opportunity to purchase the newest and best outdoor gear while manufacturers help support outings leaders and the program.”
Current sponsors include ExOfficio, Nikwax, LOWA, and Gramicci. If you want your product to reach outdoor influencers, please email Kristi.Rummel@sierraclub.org.
