Six Moon Designs and Basecamp Brewing Company Announce Daybreaker Pack and Daybreaker Pilsner Collaboration and Launch Party

PORTLAND, OR – January 7, 2020 – Portland-based Six Moon Designs and Base Camp Brewing Company have announced a joint collaboration featuring the new Daybreaker Day Pack and Daybreaker Pilsner, respectively. Both companies are deeply rooted in the Oregon outdoor and backpacking community, and to celebrate the partnership they are hosting the Daybreaker Launch Party on Thursday, January 16, from 6 – 9 pm, at Base Camp Brewing Company. The party is open to the general public.

Not your standard day pack, the Six Moon Designs Daybreaker Pack has a 25L capacity and was designed not only for quick backpacking trips but also for traveling hut to hut, peak bagging and weekend warrior adventures. Designed with 210D Microgrid Ripstop Nylon, it features a lid, an extension collar and three generous outside pockets made of four-way stretch woven nylon. The interior has an inside pocket, a hydration sleeve and a removable sit pad that acts as the pack’s back padding. The Daybreaker weighs just 20.7 oz., is available in black, blue, or orange, and will retail for $120.
The Daybreaker Pilsner is a crisp and refreshing Bohemian style pilsner that is ultra-light in color, so it won’t weigh you down. Mt. Hood and Santiam hops pay homage to the PCT, the best place to enjoy this beer. Base Camp Brewing Company recommends you keep your Daybreaker Pack evenly loaded with a crowler of Daybreaker Pilsner on each side. ABV: 4.9% / IBU: 31.
The Daybreaker Launch Party will feature a brief presentation and Q&A session with Whitney LaRuffa, Six Moon Designs Sales Director and Daybreaker Pack designer. LaRuffa will discuss the intricacies of developing an idea from thought to paper to actual product.
Daybreaker Launch Party attendees will receive a free raffle ticket for a chance to win a large prize package featuring outdoor gear from various Oregon-based companies. Additional raffle tickets will be for sale with all proceeds going to support the Oregon Natural Desert Association (ONDA).
Additionally, there will be 50 limited edition Daybreaker Essential Kits available for purchase, which includes a special logoed Daybreaker Pack, a 16oz insulated tumbler by Drintanks and a 32oz Daybreaker Pilsner crowler, all for just $120: the same amount for which the Daybreaker Pack will retail after January 16.
