Partnership Unites Print, Radio and Internet to SuperServe Industry
St. Bruno, Quebec – Ski Press World and SnoCountry Mountain Reports announced a new multi-platform partnership today confirming summer-long rumors of a major snow-media team-up.
The media package will unite internet, print and radio for the snow industry, creating a more effective means of reaching active, casual and potential ski resort consumers with a common message: educate, motivate and generate excitement in ski resort sports.
In addition to surrounding consumers with the latest ski info, the business side of the partnership offers a dream marketing package for corporate sponsors and advertisers, industry manufacturers, ski resorts and more.
“SnoCountry’s state-of-the-art snow reports and rich resort database, combined with Ski Press World’s industry-leading web news, ski tests and targeted print distribution will now reach outdoor winter enthusiasts everywhere,†said Jean-Marc Blais, president of Ski Press World. “Whether it’s online, at the ski shop or in their car, we’ll give skiers and riders what they’re looking for – the best, most up-to-date snow conditions, resort information, events, info on ski-trip booking and ski-gear buying.â€
Consumers will find the new combined website to be second to none in the ski industry, featuring more content, daily articles and up to the minute ski conditions. Ski Press and SnoCountry project the partnership will easily double the website’s impressions/page views/unique users, reaching up to 30,000 skiers each day.
SnoCountry’s on-air radio reports exceed 90,000 broadcasts nationwide over the winter season, reaching an audience of more than 180 million. These on-air daily ski reports bring fun, excitement and useful information to the masses during key listening hours of AM and PM drive-time, catching consumers at their most receptive time of the day.
In the U.S., Ski Press produces 250,000 full-color print magazines per issue. All are distributed weekly to resorts and specialty shops throughout North America free of charge. Readers report satisfaction in having a periodical that excites the senses, expands horizons and serves as a motivator. Skiers and riders see the pics, read the articles and cannot wait for more time on the slopes. This is good for the industry!
“By combining the top features of two of the ski industry’s leading websites, as well as SnoCountry Mountain Reports’ strong radio network and the reach of Ski Press World’s print magazines, the partnership effectively unites the three sources of media skiers use to quench their passion and guide their vacation and ski-purchase decisions,†said Tom Cottrill, president of SnoCountry Mountain Reports. “Skiers will now have a one-stop resource for all ski news, equipment reviews and snow reports while casual and first-time skiers will gain an easy-to-reach resource for all the information they need to hit the slopes.â€
Beginning October 1st, 2008, the websites will merge into a completely new co-branded website found at www.skipressworld.com.
