Ski Vegas Offers Sunshine Card and 2011/12 Season Passes Starting 3/12

Las Vegas (March 11, 2011)—Las Vegas Ski & Snowboard Resort (LVSSR) is offering a chance to get in on the great spring skiing conditions and huge savings with its Sunshine Card. The pass is available for $150 starting Saturday, March 12, 2011 and is valid for unlimited skiing and boarding through the end of the season. Sunshine cards can be purchased at LVSSR’s ticket window located at the base lodge.

“We’ve had a great snow year and the spring skiing is fantastic. Adult full-day passes are $50, so for those planning to ski during spring break, or at least four times during March and April, it’s a great deal,” says Curt Sheffield, LVSSR’s director of business affairs.

Also on March 12, LVSSR kicks off its 2011/12-preseason pass sales, offering savings up to 30 percent on its seven 2011/12 season pass options. As a bonus, the first 200 people to purchase a 2011/12 pass will receive a complimentary ticket to see Carrot Top’s show at The Luxor. (Offer valid for those 18 or older.) Preseason pricing runs through Saturday, April 30.

New for the 2011/12 season is:

The Young Adult Pass – $300

Available to people between the ages of 19 and 23 years old, and valid for unlimited skiing and boarding; young adult pass holders do not have to be college students to qualify. They must, however, present valid proof of age at the time of purchase.

Weekday Only Pass – $300

Offers the pass holder mountain access Monday through Fridays only; it is not valid on the weekend. It is, however, being offered at a much lower rate than ever before -–more than 30 percent less than previous year’s pricing.

Las Vegas locals have shown their commitment to LVSSR this year. According to Sheffield, ”Event attendance, ski bus ridership and pass sales are all up this year. When planning for next season, our goals was to design a pass program that better meets the needs of our unique local community,” he says.

Preseason passes can be purchased online at www.skilasvegas.com, by mail via forms downloaded from the LVSSR website, at LVSSR’s guests services office or by visiting the Ski Vegas city office at 7501 Tule Springs Road, Suite 110, in Las Vegas, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or. Telephone orders are also accepted by the Ski Vegas city office between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. by calling 702-645-2754.



LVSSR spring price specials for 2011/12 season passes are as follows:

*Children’s Pass – $150

Available for kids 6 through 12 years of age, proof of age is required.

*Youth Pass – $225

Available to those between the ages of 13 and 18 years old, proof of age is required.

Young Adult – $300

Available to those between the ages of 19 and 23 years old, proof of age is required

Military Pass – $300

Available to those currently serving in the United States military with a valid military ID.

Senior Pass – $350

Available to those 60 years of age or over with a valid ID.

Weekday Only Pass – $300

Valid for skiing and snowboarding Monday through Fridays only, not valid on the weekends.

Adult Unlimited-$450

* Those pass holders under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian to sign an Acknowledgement of Risks and Purchase agreement, also available online.
