SKORA® Renews Partnership with Pittards® for Expanded 2013 Line

SKORA has renewed their partnership with Pittards® leather for their 2013 line of high-performance running shoes, extending the exclusive partnership with the luxury leather provider for its durability, hand, water resistance & breathability

SKORA Inc. is pleased to announce they have renewed their partnership with Pittards® leather for their expanded 2013 line of high-performance running shoes. The innovative new brand that puts the natural back in natural running is extending their partnership with this world-class luxury goat and sheep skin leather provider for use in SKORA’s next generation of groundbreaking shoes.

SKORA selected Pittards for their incredibly durable material, with water resistance and breathability qualities that far exceed those of traditional leathers. For those whose runs often include puddles or creeks, the feel and suppleness of the goat and sheep skin leathers do not diminish through repeated wet-dry cycles.

For Spring 13, SKORA will offer consumers an even lighter, more flexible shoe, using Pittards leather in their all-new CORE model. The CORE will employ the same Armor-Tan® Goat upper as their flagship FORM, but with a highly breathable combination synthetic/WR100X® Sheepskin liner. Plus it will feature a new mid/outsole made of single-piece Injection Blown Rubber (IBR), as well as many of the other features that make SKORA the highest performing zero-drop running shoes on the market.

“At SKORA we believe that every runner deserves a better shoe designed to help them ‘Run Real,” said SKORA Founder/CEO David Sypniewski. “Our partnership with Pittards helps us create unique shoes that fit the foot like a no other shoe on the market, giving it real second- skin or extension-of-the-foot characteristics and appeal. We employ the best materials nature can provide for the comfort, flexibility, protection and durability we demand in our shoes, and are thrilled to continue our relationship with this legendary company.”

SKORA’s flagship model, the FORM, which debuted last winter to wide acclaim, will continue to feature a Pittards Armor-Tan Goat upper, and the liner will again be WR100X Sheepskin for a supple and luxurious, glove-like feel against the foot, along with excellent breathability.

SKORA Shoes with Pittards Leather:
FORM ($185) is the definition of premium performance. Featuring a full-leather upper made of Pittards Goatskin leather with WR100X Sheepskin leather lining to promote breathability and durability. Pittards leathers are remarkably soft and supple, and remain so even after getting wet, for a luxurious and comfortable feel. With asymmetric lacing and no-tongue construction in combination with stitch-down construction and an Ortholite sockliner, the FORM wears like a second skin.

New for S13:
CORE ($155) features a perforated Pittards Armor-Tan Goat upper, a combination lining with WR100X Sheepskin and antibacterial Agion mesh, along with an asymmetric lacing system. With a unibody IBR outsole, the zero-drop CORE offers incredibly supple road feel, and superior anatomical fit.
