SKORA To Launch Women’s Collection for Fall/Winter 2012

Following the successful debut of SKORA®’s premiere Men’s performance running footwear collection for SS12, SKORA is launching their Women’s collection for FW12.

In keeping with the Run Real philosophy of the brand, the design of the footwear has been specifically tuned for the needs of real runners, encouraging running performance that is as biomechanically correct as possible, with minimal interference.

“We believe in fitting as many runners as possible, and challenging the status-quo when it comes to fit, particularly for women” says David Sypniewski, CEO/Founder for SKORA. “While conventional running shoes are normally narrower and less voluminous for women, we have found that the fit needs of women runners cross a wide spectrum, and we believe our unique REALFIT last, combined with the customizable upper fit features best address this by offering a more human-centric, user-adjustable, universal fit system, rather than stereotypical fit characteristics by gender.

For FW12, SKORA will be releasing two models for women, BASE and FORM. Both share a common platform, composed of the REALFIT last, developed to offer a unique anatomical fit that closely matches the foot’s shape, and the R01 outsole system that features a Zero-Drop outsole/midsole with minimal cushioning and a curved section profile in both the forefoot and heel to allow for optimum natural movement and performance.

BASE (7.0 oz / 197 g) High tensile stretch mesh sockfit upper with an innovative adjustable X-strap closure system MSRP $125, available in two colorways, US Women’s 5 — 11.

FORM (7.4 oz / 209 g) Full leather upper that features Pittards® Armor-Tan® Goatskin leather with Pittards® WR100X® leather lining and is designed with a unique asymmetric lacing and no-tongue construction to provide a glove-like fit and premium performance. MSRP $195, available in two colorways, US Women’s 5 — 11.

Both models also feature an elastic heel strap for personalized fit, reflective details and stitch-down construction with a removable Ortholite® antibacterial minimal sockliner.

The SKORA FW12 Men’s collection will be augmented with new colorways for both FORM and BASE models, and an expanded size range (US 7-13)
