BOULDER, Colo. (August 9, 2007) – Slumberjack’s Family on the Go product line provides lightweight, compact gear for today’s active, on-the-move family. The company is extending the popular line with the addition of an airbed-compatible sleeping bag called the Sympatico, as well as a handy new gear cache that conveniently stores up to four sleeping bags and other accessories.
“Today’s family is constantly on the move. Whether it’s sleepovers, campouts, road trips to Grandma’s or that unexpected guest at the door, families are looking for versatile sleep systems to meet all their needs,†said Geoff O’Keeffe, president of Slumberjack. “We’ve had a lot of success with the Family on the Go series because it offers high-quality sleeping bags that are lightweight, compact and easy to transport – just throw them in the car and off you go.â€
Sympatico 40ºF, Airbed-Compatible Sleeping Bag (MSRP: $129.99)
The first new product in the Family on the Go line is the Sympatico 40-degree, airbed-compatible sleeping bag. The Sympatico can be used on its own for a great night’s rest, or in conjunction with a traditional airbed mattress. The bag securely attaches to any Queen-sized inflatable airbed using a shock-cord gusset, which is an expandable cord (similar to a bungee) that fits snuggly around the mattress. The bottom of the bag has an insulated layer, which provides a warm, comfortable barrier between the cold mattress top and the occupants of the sleeping bag.
The 60†x 80†red-brick colored Sympatico is filled with Thermolite® Extra insulation, which provides superior loft and resiliency and is highly compact. The inside of the bag is lined with a plush, poly-cotton liner that is soft to the touch and is extremely comfortable. The exterior of the bag is made from a diamond ripstop material that is durable and highly resistant to water and other moisture. Sympatico also comes equipped with an insulated draft tube, hook and loop closure and anti-snag zipper protection.
Family on the Go Gear Cache (MSRP: $39.99 to $54.99)
Slumberjack’s Family on the Go series now includes a Gear Cache for compact, convenient transportation and storage of sleeping bags and other outdoor gear. The Gear Cache is available in three different sizes, neatly storing anywhere between two and four Family on the Go rectangular sleeping bags.
In addition to storing sleeping bags, the Gear Cache features two accessory clips for pillows or liners and outer pockets for storing miscellaneous items. It also features removable, internal compartments that make it easy to customize based on specific needs and outdoor adventures.
The Family on the Go Gear Cache is small and compact, so it takes up minimal room in your car, campsite or storage area. The four-bag capacity model measures 16†x 16†x 18â€.
