Slumberjack Partners with MudbuMs to Help Louisiana Flood Victims

Companies combine resources to draw attention and bring disaster relief
to victims of recent flooding

Boulder, Colo. (August 22, 2016) – Slumberjack, makers of innovative hunting, camping, and outdoor gear, and TeamMudbuM, creators of the Hawg Lawg and the personalities behind the MudbuMs television show, are partnering to provide relief for Louisiana flood victims.

The recent storms in Louisiana have led to 70,000 Louisianans registering for FEMA assistance and an estimated 40,000 homes have experienced flood damage. As a result, 20 parishes are under a federal emergency and in need of basic supplies.

“We wanted to help in some way but were challenged by the logistics of getting gear to where it’s needed. So when our ambassadors on team MudbuM said they were heading down with a trailer and could bring supplies, we offered our emergency cots, as they are perfect for this exact situation. We hope our cots will help provide some relief for people who have had to leave their homes,” said Marily Melis, SJK’s marketing director.

SJK will be shipping emergency cots and sleeping bags to the MudbuMs who are loading up a trailer in their home state of Iowa. Once the trailer is loaded, the MudbuMs will be driving south to help with the relief efforts.

For those interested in contributing to the relief trailer, the MudbuMs are gathering essential items including generators, extension cords, work lights, compressors, cleaning supplies, and batteries. Donations can be dropped off at the MudbuM Supply Shack at 3894 NW Urbandale Drive in Urbandale, Iowa or Berean Assembly of God Church in Pleasant Hill, Iowa.
