SnowSports Industries America Reinvents Annual Snow Show with New Look, Feel and Features
Creative new exhibits and floor plan to debut at 2017 SIA Snow Show
PARK CITY, UT (December 20, 2016) – SnowSports Industries America (SIA), the national organization helping the winter sports industry thrive, announces today its plans to refresh the 2017 SIA Snow Show in Denver, CO. The SIA Snow Show, taking place January 25 – 29, 2017 at the Colorado Convention Center, will incorporate special exhibits spanning different markets within the industry, as well as complimentary daily happy hours and an updated floor plan, all complemented by a new creative look.
The special exhibits new to the 2017 SIA Snow Show will highlight the different lifestyles and niche markets of the snow sports business, and will be featured across designated areas of the Show floor ensuring maximum visibility:
· The Luxe exhibit area will highlight the lifestyle and high-end snow sport products and destinations around the world.
· Front and center inside the show, the Made In… exhibit will provide an opportunity for local, boutique brands on shoestring budgets to unite and showcase their unique products.
· The Trail Gate experience will mirror the atmosphere of a backcountry basecamp, or resort parking lot, where the snow lifestyle both on and off the hill converge.
Other updates include the opportunity for exhibitors to serve beer earlier in the day, beginning at noon, an enhanced Industry + Intelligence format, and a state of the industry keynote from SIA President Nick Sargent. Additionally, the On-Snow Demo piece of the Show will have expanded offerings at Copper Mountain Resort.
The news of a reinvented Snow Show comes on the heels of SIA unveiling its new leadership team, headquarters, and a revamped mission and vision. The organization is collectively making strides to align with the ever-changing needs of the snow sports industry by implementing necessary changes to the Snow Show, and reshaping the role the organization holds in leading the industry.
“Since taking over the role of SIA President, it’s been a priority to reestablish the SIA voice within the industry and make the appropriate changes to best serve the business of snow sports,” said SIA President Nick Sargent. “With the help of an intensive listening campaign and comprehensive meetings with key stakeholders, we’re excited to identify new opportunities at the 2017 Snow Show, reenergizing the Show experience for all members involved. We’re in the business of snow, after all – if we’re not having some fun with it, we’re doing it wrong.”
All updates will be introduced when the 2017 Snow Show kicks off on January 25 with its annual Industry + Intelligence day, filled with free seminars, market intelligence and networking. The 2017 Snow Show is scheduled for January 26-29, 2017 at the Colorado Convention Center in Denver, Colorado, followed by the On-Snow Demo/Ski-Ride Fest hosted by Colorado’s Copper Mountain Resort from January 30-31, 2017.
