Lynnwood, WA. – SOG® Specialty Knives and Tools has named Patrick Carland as their new Director of National Sales. The appointment is effective as of January 13, 2014, just in time for Carland to join the SOG team at the 2014 Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade Show being held at the Sands Expo Center in Las Vegas.
A veteran of more than 15 years in the outdoor industry, Carland honed his professional sales skills working with action sports companies both large and small.
Before joining SOG he served as Executive Vice President of tasc Performance, makers of bamboo-enhanced performance apparel.
Prior to tasc, he held various leadership roles in brand building, business development, operations and sales with companies as varied as Bamboo Bottle Company, Chrome Industries and Salomon USA.
“Patrick brings a big dose of energy and verve to our sales team,” said Jerry Heinlen, CEO of SOG. “We really have staked a new direction here at SOG over the past year, and we’re confident Patrick will lead our national sales efforts to greater heights.”
Carland holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Finance from Arizona State University. He resides in Truckee, Calif.
