LYNNWOOD, Wash. – SOG Knives & Tools is making improvements to three of their best-selling folding knives, adding easy-to-use frame locking mechanisms on the Aegis, Escape and Flash models.

SOG’s new-for-2019 Aegis FLK, Escape FL and Flash FL are equipped with SOG’s sturdy frame lock – one of the simplest and strongest locks in the knife world. In general, a frame lock uses a portion of the knife’s frame to lock the tang on the blade in place. A frame lock virtually eliminates accidental blade closure, but allows for smooth opening and easy cleaning.

All three knives deliver no-nonsense all metal construction and feature either kick or thumb stud deployment on proven SOG platforms that have attracted a legion of fans over the years. Perfect everyday carry options, the three new frame locks can handle a wide array of tasks thanks to their easy sharpening, and affordable, 8Cr13MoV stainless steel blades.

Both the Escape FL and Flash FL retail for $21.95, while the sleek-lined Aegis FLK is available for $32.95. The knives are available at www.sogknives.com and numerous retailers around the country.
