Sports Gear Group Launches Sports Gear Trailer
Sports Gear Group Expands Into A New Sporting Goods Category of Personal Automotive and Motorcycle Sports Gear Transportation Products
Boulder, Colorado —- Sports Gear Group is pleased to announce the inaugural launch of Sports Gear Trailer January 4, 2016 .
Sports Gear Trailer represents an innovative new product line that gives outdoor enthusiasts a practical alternative to transporting their sports related gear by “Bringing your world along for the ride” said Robert G. Wengler, Managing Partner for Sports Gear Group.
Mr. Wengler continued by saying that “Previously, with roof top sports attachment systems it’s all about the roof; lifting, hoisting overhead, then having to fasten your sports gear onto the roof of your vehicle, can be awkward and physically challenging. Not to mention, that every time you change vehicles, you have to retool with a different roof tower design to accommodate the shape of the roof on that new vehicle. Sports Gear Trailer solves that problem.”
Gordon Klema, Design Engineer and CEO stated, “When engineering the Sports Gear Trailer, I took into consideration the dimensional aspects and requirements of both Yakima and Thule’s vehicle rack and cargo attachment systems so that both manufacturers accessories would universally fit on our trailer—mission accomplished!”
The Sports Gear Trailer sits only 26 inches off the ground so the highest you’ll ever have to lift your gear onto the trailer would be less than waist level for an average adult. The variations of sports gear that can be attached and carried safely on Sports Gear Trailer is also far greater then the options a roof type system offers.
Sports Gear Trailer is designed and engineered to tow behind economy cars, SUV’s, motorcycles and ATV’s. Aerodynamic and lightweight in it’s design, weighing only 140 lbs. for the trailer and with a Gross Weight Carrying Capacity of 500 lbs., the Sports Gear Trailer is not only the most versatile trailer on the market, but one that is engineered to help prevent transmission and drivetrain stress/failure while maintaining fuel efficiency for the towing vehicle. Sports Gear Trailer is also D.O.T. (Department of Transportation) compliant with each trailer carrying it’s own individual D.M.V. (Department of Motor Vehicle) licensing and registration V.I.N.’s (Vehicle Identification Numbers). Furthermore, The Sports Gear Trailer is completely built in the USA.
“I desired a means of transporting my bicycle, kayak and all my camping gear across country and I wanted to pull all this with my Harley Davidson! So, I designed the Sports Gear Trailer from what I knew best, and that was from my own personal experiences and business knowledge of over 30 years designing and building aviation ground support equipment. I based my design on utilizing dual stage load springs, combined with gas spring shocks and a patent pending anti-vibration system,” explained Gordon Klema.
Mr. Klema stated, “I’ve tested the Sports Gear Trailer on multiple road runs between Wisconsin and Colorado towed by my Harley at speeds of up to 80 mph through varying terrain and conditions. Truthfully, at times I’d forget I was even towing a trailer, the way it performed!”
Other New Product Introduction for January 2016
Sports Gear Group will be unveiling at the Colorado Motorcycle Expo (CME) in Denver, Colorado on January 30th – 31st 2016, a new motorcycle carrier attachment accessory for the Sports Gear Trailer. This will be an industry first enabling a motorcycle to pull another motorcycle carried on top of the Sports Gear Trailer.“Think of it as your road bike towing your show bike” said Robert G. Wengler
