SPOT Announces Participation at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market

MILPITAS, CA – (July 16, 2009) – SPOT LLC, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Globalstar Inc. (NASDAQ: GSAT) and a leader in personal satellite messaging and emergency communications, today announced its participation at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2009 Conference for the third consecutive year. The company is showcasing its award-winning SPOT Satellite GPS Messengerâ„¢, along with new product developments and SPOT Assist services in Booth #36191 at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.

The handheld SPOT Satellite GPS Messengerâ„¢ sends the user’s GPS location coordinates and select messages with a link to Google Mapsâ„¢ over a global satellite network to personal contacts, or, in case of an emergency, a rescue coordination center. Because SPOT uses satellite technology, users can reliably send their location information and messages regardless of cellular availability.

Survival expert and SPOT product spokesman Les Stroud will make a special show- appearance on Tuesday, July 21 at 2:30 p.m. in the SPOT booth. Adventurer, filmmaker and musician, Stroud is best known for his highly acclaimed international television survival show on the Discovery Channel. Stroud has been an integral part of the SPOT safety campaign helping educate outdoor enthusiasts and consumers on the safety benefits of the SPOT Satellite GPS Messengerâ„¢.

SPOT executives will lead a press conference and product showcase at the SPOT booth # 36191 on July 21st at 3:30 p.m. immediately following Stroud’s personal appearance.
