SPRI Adds Dean Young as National Account Manager!

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. – Jan. 10, 2012 – SPRI Products, Inc., a leading distributor of rubberized resistance products and fitness accessories, recently hired Dean Young as National Account Manager, working in the company’s Commercial Division calling on all vertical markets, including hospitality, municipalities, corporate wellness, schools/universities and parks and recreation centers.

A veteran in the fitness industry, Young held several positions over eight years at Life Fitness, Schiller Park, Ill., including sales manager of certified pre-owned equipment, account representative for commercial dealer sales and national account representative. There he sold numerous lines of cardiovascular equipment and strength training machines.

Young also has worked as a certified personal trainer at East Bank Club and First Fitness, both in Chicago.
“With Dean’s extensive background, we’re looking forward to having him continue our tradition of excellent service to our accounts, and to help foster additional growth in these important channels,” said Herb Flentye, president and CEO of SPRI.

Rounding out his experience, Young most recently spent several years as a real estate consultant for Koenig & Strey Real Living in Chicago, where he executed business and marketing plans and supported clients through real estate transactions.

Young holds a personal trainer certification from the American Council on Exercise and has won multiple awards in powerlifitng. He has a M.S. in exercise science and cardiac rehabilitation from Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago and a B.S. in physical education from the University of Wisconsin, La Crosse.
