SPRI Wins Best-Selling Accessory Award

LIBERTYVILLE, Ill. – Nov. 7, 2011 – For the seventh consecutive year, SPRI Products, Inc., a leading distributor of rubberized resistance products and fitness accessories, was named the No. 1 selling brand of fitness accessories in the 2011 Specialty News (SNEWS®) Fitness Retailer Survey.

“It is humbling to be named as one of the fitness industry’s best brands,” said Herb Flentye, president and CEO of SPRI. “We are very grateful for the support and recognition from our customers as well as the industry.”

This year, SPRI garnered more than three times as many votes of the second and third place companies in a crowded, competitive category that includes resistance tubing, dumbbells, stability balls, kettlebells, medicine balls, exercise mats and more.

According to surveyors, “In the end, nobody seems to be able to conquer SPRI’s domination of the accessory category; no other company has gained enough votes for us to even think of mentioning a real competition.”

SNEWS, a bi-weekly trade publication covering the fitness and outdoor industries, surveys retailers nationwide, ranging from small, single shops to large chains, to assess the overall state of the fitness industry from the perspective of salespeople. Results are released each year in August preceding the annual Health & Fitness Business Expo.
