SPRINGBOOST APPOINTS DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS
Patricia Schwarz Promoted To New Position at U.S. Headquarters

WALTHAM, Mass. (December 1, 2006) – SpringBoost USA, the three-year-old Swiss dorsiflexion performance footwear company located in Waltham, Mass., has announced the promotion of Patricia Schwarz to Director of Communications, a new position. Schwarz, a retired pro basketball player, was formerly the company’s public relations and marketing manager.

“Patricia is an excellent choice for us,” said SpringBoost chairman and CEO Andrew Silvestri. “The knowledge she brings, both of the business and as an athlete, will help us bring SpringBoost to the front of the performance and wellness footwear market.”

As Director of Communications, Schwarz will be responsible for marketing and communications for the U.S. market. She will report to SpringBoost USA’s Kevin Johnson, vice president and general manager.

Schwarz, 30, has held similar positions in marketing and communications with Nautilus and SpringBoost S.A. in Switzerland, and was a professional women’s basketball player with the BBC Troistorrents in the Swiss National League and played on the Swiss National Team. She holds a B.A. from the College of Charleston, South Carolina. She has relocated to the U.S. from her native Switzerland to assume the position.

Lowered Heel Offers Health, Training and Performance Advantages

The dorsiflexion line, which positions the heel lower than the forefoot, offers a number of health, training and performance advantages. Independent testing, professional athletes and coaches, professional trainers and medical and scientific researchers in Europe and the U.S. agree that a foot positioned in dorsiflexion promotes better posture, alleviates pressure on joints and the lower back, strengthens the core, and enhances blood circulation in the legs.

Also, dorsiflexion footwear activates muscle fibers when training the body’s target zones – specifically calves, hamstrings, and the gluteus (buttocks).

SpringBoost will cater to dedicated athletes and weekend warriors with sport specific shoes: B-Fit for fitness, B-Train for performance training, B-Spike for volleyball, B-Walk Nordic for Nordic Walking and B-Walk for walking. The models are currently available in the U.S. for approximately $99.99 to $150.

SpringBoost is headquartered in the U.S. at 135 Beaver Street, Suite 400, Waltham, Mass. 02452. Tel. 781 894 0009 or toll free 1 866 7BOOST1; www.springboost.com.
