BOULDER, CO – Rounding out an already stellar team of big mountain powerhouses and new school superstars, Spyder snares another ski phenom into its wide web of impressive athletes. Austrian native Eva Patscheider signed a multi-year contract with the iconic ski apparel company to represent them in competition, marketing collateral and as an international brand ambassador.
Always striving to be better, faster and stronger in her freeski and backcountry abilities, Patscheider represents the progression of the sport and the motivation behind Spyder’s new women’s Quest collection, of which she’ll be the face of for the upcoming winter ‘11//12 season. With her winning smile, infectious good nature and ripping abilities on the slopes, Patscheider is an international force who exudes fierce style and plenty of pop in the pipe and park. Edi Kaiser, Spyder Europe’s Sales and Marketing Director, explains Spyder’s attraction to Eva. “Spyder’s athlete team reaches for global representation,†Kaiser said. We look worldwide for the best of the best and we found it in Eva. She has incredible skill and fits into Spyder’s culture; we produce the ultimate product for the most passionate skiers on the mountain.â€
Based out of Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis resort, Patscheider has been on the freeskiing circuit for just under five years but has already made a big impact in the industry, being named Freeskier of the Year in 2009 and holding a nomination for the 2010 title by the Action Sports Awards in Germany.
