Spyder Hires Ariana Burkley as Key Account Manager

BOULDER, Colo. – Spyder Active Sports, Inc., the Colorado-based manufacturer of premium technical ski apparel, has hired Ariana Burkley as a Key Account Manager. Effective June 4, 2012, Ariana will assume responsibility for Spyder’s key accounts in the Rocky Mountain Region. Ariana will report to Spyder’s VP of Sales for North America, Ellen Welley.

“We are happy and fortunate to have Ariana join our North American Sales Team,” said Welley. “She brings with her a deep, time-tested understanding of what it means to work closely with buyers and store employees to identify their needs and translate those needs into solid, long term business relationships,” Welley continued. “Ariana also has a pure passion for the sport of skiing and an existing familiarity with the Spyder brand, and that combination makes her a great person to communicate our brand message to key accounts.”

Ariana has long been involved with the ski industry – she grew up chasing powder with her father in Vermont, studied psychology at the University of Vermont, travelled the world extensively to pursue her passion for the sport, became an I.S.I.A. Certified International Ski Instructor, and has worked as an independent and company sales representative for ski and outdoor brands in the Colorado and Utah territories for over fifteen years. She has interfaced with a wide range of ski related businesses, from high-end apparel lines to hard goods manufacturers, and in formats ranging from small specialty boutiques to big box retailers.
