BOULDER, COLO – As a title sponsor of the U.S. Ski Team and in partnership with Audi of America and its Colorado-based dealers, Spyder Active Sports is supporting the upcoming men’s and women’s World Cup races in Colorado by supplying their big rigs for VIP shuttle service and athlete support accommodations.

The Spyder-branded snowcat, “Blackie,” will be shuttling VIP guests around the race venue in Aspen for FIS Alpine World Cup Racing event from November 25-27, 2011. Spyder’s 44-foot athlete and events support vehicle, known to the team as the “Land Yacht,” will serve as the media house and nutrition center for the U.S. Ski Team during the event.

Part RV, part training center, the clean-burning diesel powered rig comfortably sleeps 8 people and features a full kitchen staffed with a USSA-appointed chef and nutritionist to keep the athletes at their peak performance.
The multiple video screens allow the team to review past races & runs while the built-in satellite TV and rooftop deck provide additional viewing space of the multi-day events.

The following week, the Land Yacht will support the men’s team at the Audi Birds of Prey World Cup Race in Beaver Creek, December 2-3.2011.

Fans will have the opportunity to see the new Spyder and U.S. Ski Team adorned Audi vehicles, prominently on display at both events.
