Carlsbad, Calif. – [February 3, 2015] – Zoot Sports, a global leader in footwear and apparel for the endurance athlete, recently completed its previously announced acquisition of Squadra®, leading designer and manufacturer of custom racing, cycling and triathlon apparel based in Carlsbad, CA.
This acquisition adds a strong, complementary endurance sports brand to the Zoot business. Since Jarden Corporation (NYSE: JAH) acquired Zoot in 2009, it has continued to invest in the growing endurance sports market and Zoot has garnered accolades for its innovation in performance footwear and apparel, providing reference-level solutions for the endurance athlete from head to toe.

Squadra was founded in 1996, by Dan Weatherford, initially as the licensee for the Italian Castelli brand® owned by cycling legend, Maurizio Castelli. Squadra set out to offer to all cyclists, the same quality apparel and accessories used by professional cycling teams in Europe.
