Louisville, KY — Organizers of the US Gran Prix of Cyclocross, (USGP) are proud to announce that STANLEY, a brand of PMI, the iconic outdoor food and beverage brand that has fueled outdoor adventures since 1913, will be returning to the USGP as a series-wide sponsor for the fourth season.
This sponsorship will be part of their Built for Life® Road Tour and they will once again visit select USGP races in their classic, refurbished 1966 Airstream – a mobile showroom that celebrates the STANLEY’s brand heritage and promotes consumer’s real life stories of the unsung heroes who make our country great. Cyclocross racers at the USGP will be able to partake in the experience first-hand and share their own stories.
New for the USGP this season will be the recently launched Special Edition One-Hand 16 oz Vacuum Mug – a collaboration between the USGP, CLIF Bar and STANLEY. Proceeds from sales of this limited edition piece will fund a newly created scholarship program designed to offset the costs of competing at the World Championships for un-funded Junior team members.
In addition, limited edition USGP STANLEY products will also once again grace the podium of every race weekend. A favorite and coveted prize for USGP winners -amateur and pro alike – the competition is fierce in front of and behind the stage to win these STANLEY prizes each weekend.
USGP Series Director, Joan Hanscom, says “We are thrilled to have STANLEY back with the USGP for another exciting year of cyclocross action. They are an incredibly valuable partner for the USGP and a proven favorite among cross racers and fans alike – their products are perfect for cold wet cross races – durable and tough enough to survive epic race conditions.â€

About the Built for Life® Tour:
The Stanley brand is traveling the country in a classic 1966 Airstream, hitting the road to pay tribute to the unsung heroes who make our country great and keep us going. Much like Stanley products that have been by your side day in and day out. The unsung heroes are unselfish men who take action and don’t expect thanks in return. They are the unseen worker who keeps a project or business rolling along, or a best bud who has been by your side and had your back through thick and thin. http://www.stanley-pmi.com/community/built-for-life
