Each of the six machines represents two traditional cable-motion pieces within one compact united facilitated by a dual-independent weight stack system. The versatile units represent Star Trac’s entry into the popular functional training category that offers users a multitude of exercises for a diverse range of training options within the strength equipment floor of fitness facilities.
“Star Trac’s HumanSport line is the next evolution in our quest to offer best-in-class strength equipment along with our best-in-class cardio products,†said Star Trac President Steve Nero. “HumanSport represents all the benefits of functional training while allowing for better space utilization and a more cost-effective, elegant design.â€
The six pieces include the Lat Pulley, Total Legs, Pull Lift, Shoulder Chest, Total Delts, and Arm Crunch. Each piece features distinctive styling, one-touch adjustment on all stations, and swivel pulleys to ensure a smooth and nearly unlimited range of motion.

In addition, personal trainers and other health and fitness professionals can utilize the HumanSport line in an array of ways to isolate movements, stabilize environments, focus on multi-planar/multi-joint movements, and mix in acceleration/deceleration factors.
“The HumanSport line and its user-defined movement patterns provide an immense opportunity to add a new dimension to strength workouts by improving core stability and a total body benefit for exercisers,†said Jeff Dilts, Star Trac Product Manager. “Without losing its intuitive nature for individual operation, each HumanSport piece can help maximize interest in personal training by showcasing the multiple levels of progression for each exerciser.â€
Star Trac will begin taking orders for the all-new HumanSport line beginning at the IHRSA Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas later this week. The product will begin shipping individually or as a full six-piece circuit in May 2006.
