Stormy Kromer intensifies spring focus with expanded offering for Spring 2017

Ironwood, MI — Following a successful launch of its first spring collection, Stormy Kromer, makers of functional headwear born in the wilds of the northern Midwest, has expanded its collection of warm weather headwear and accessories for Spring 2017. The new collection features new silhouettes and an expansion of its use of waxed cotton throughout the line.
“We’ve used waxed cotton in our products for years, and it was a natural choice for us to integrate deeper into our spring offering as it naturally provides weather protection like our wool, but is much lighter weight,” said Gina Thorsen, Stormy Kromer president.
Waxed cotton, one of the original “technical” fabrics, has long been loved by outdoor enthusiasts for its water resistance along with its rugged look that only increase with time and wear. For Spring 2017 Stormy Kromer is introducing a waxed cotton version of its Bucket Hat and Trucker cap. Additionally, it is introducing a waxed version of the new women’s Kromer Cloche cap along with a waxed cotton Bucket Purse and SK Dopp kit.
The Kromer Cloche is Stormy Kromer’s take on the design popular in the early 1900s. Combining refreshing colors in solids and prints, they have updated the timeless silhouette. The cap’s brim can be worn down or up revealing the interior pint. The waxed cotton Cloche is offered version in Navy with a light green interior and small polka dots and khaki with a blue and khaki plaid interior. MSRP: $44.99
The Bucket Purse has a fun shape and a nautically-inspired cinch rope closure with an adjustable wide shoulder strap. The bag’s polka dot lining brings some lightheartedness to the rugged waxed cotton exterior. A great bag for summer, the Bucket Purse is large enough to handle all your daily essentials and has a small interior pocket to organize go to necessities. MSRP: $74.99
The SK Dopp Kit is a simple single top-zippered shaving kit. However, its bold Stormy Kromer patch on the dark oak waxed cotton exterior make it a handsome kit that any traveler would be proud to house their personal grooming needs while on the road. It has a single loop handle for easy carrying and is fully lined. MSRP: $59.99
