Ironwood, Michigan – Stormy Kromer, the iconic US manufacturer of boldly original headwear, apparel, and accessories, is introducing its first collection designed for the summer months at the 2015 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, UT, August 5-8, 2015 (booth 10039).
The made in America collection features hats, shirts, and accessories to compliment its winter offering that reflect the tradition and lifestyle inspired by the brand. Founded in 1903 in Michigan’s still-rugged Upper Peninsula, Stormy Kromer is known worldwide for its unmistakable “cap” … a brimmed hat with distinctive earflaps added for warmth and comfort.
“The winter season is very long in the Upper Peninsula and we cherish the warmer months when we trade our cross country skis for water skis,” said Gina JacquartThorsen, Stormy Kromer Vice President. “Now we’ll also be able to trade our wool Kromers for designs more appropriate for the summer’s sun and warm temps.”
The collection of hats include traditional Stormy Kromer designs with retractable ear flaps along with cadet, driver, trucker, bucket, and wide brimmed sun hats. The Daydreamer is a wide brimmed sun hat made with 100% organic cotton duck and each style features a bright solid exterior color with a complementary interior pattern.
The bag collection includes clutches, wallets, packs, purses, and totes. The Crossroads Purse is the perfect summercompanion. Made with 100% cotton duck, the Crossroads features bright solid colors with complimentary plaid on the interior and flap corner. The bag is designed to be worn over the shoulder or across the body while its flip top closure and interior zip pocket keep personal effects secure.
The apparel collection includes graphic Tee’s and bandanas. The graphic Tee’s feature motifs inspired by the woods and lakes of the northern Mid West with images of fish, moose, anchors, arrows and canoes. The bandanas include traditional paisley designs with Stormy Kromer and Michigan inspired elements including a design with a map centered on Stormy Kromer’s home of Ironwood, MI.
