Stunning new consoles to be featured on all Matrix 7 and 5 Series cardiovascular products from Johnson Health Tech North America

COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. – March 12, 2009 – Johnson Health Tech North America, Inc. today announced that its entire Matrix 7 and 5 Series cardiovascular product lines will feature the same stunning consoles that wowed customers last fall at Club Industry when they were shown on the latest Matrix treadmills.

“These consoles have been incredibly well-received since we introduced them on our treadmill line,” said Chris Adsit, product manager, JHTNA. “The base and the mechanical components haven’t changed, so exercisers will still get the same high performance they’ve come to expect from Matrix. Now, they also can enjoy the benefits of the popular new consoles.”

The new consoles will be included on the following Matrix cardio products:

–Matrix Ascent Trainers – A7xe, A7x and A5x
–Matrix Ellipticals – E7xe, E7xc and E5xc
–Matrix Hybrid Cycles – H7xe, H7x and H5x
–Matrix Upright Cycles – U7xe, U7x and U5x
–Matrix Recumbent Cycles – R7xe, R7x and R5x
–Matrix Steppers – S7xe, S7x and S5x

The consoles offer an amazing array of features. The 7xe model boasts a visually dazzling 15-inch integrated touch-screen LCD TV console with Vista Clear Television Technology for the most vibrant picture in the industry and FitTouch Technology for intuitive touch-screen functionality. The 7x models have a 7-inch LCD screen also with Vista Clear Television Technology.

The 7xe and 7x consoles are compatible with iPod® for video and audio playback, charging and on-screen playlist selection. All 7 series cardio products are compatible with Nike + iPod for the Gym.

All of the consoles include an embedded FitLinxx wireless transmitter for service and performance monitoring, and an integrated three-speed personal fan.

Matrix cardio products with these consoles will be on display at IHRSA, March 17–19, at the Matrix booth (No. 702).
