Substantial Growth Demands New Hires at Lorpen North America

Lorpen (www.lorpen.com), a leading designer and manufacturer of high performance socks for outdoor, hunting and wintersport enthusiasts, is pleased to announce the addition of three new personnel to support significant production growth based on increased sales in both North America and globally. The new hires include David Uria as Global Manufacturing Manager, Catalina Davies as Production Assistant and Nick Lindop as Social Media Consultant.

A native of Bilbao, Spain, David Uria has been appointed Global Manufacturing Manager. With a degree in Industrial Engineering and a concentration in Business as well as an Executive Masters in Business Administration, David has a lot to offer in terms of expertise. Prior to joining the Lorpen team, David was part of the Volkswagon engineering department in Spain. Currently based in Etxalar Spain, David will lead the sourcing, planning and production at Lorpen’s Europe and Mexico facilities and will oversee relations with Lorpen’s offshore manufacturing partners.
Social media guru, Nick Lindop, oversees Lorpen’s direct to consumer and dealer communications. Nick is continuing to build the Lorpen brand and its growing base of followers globally through Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and other developing social media outlets.
Catalina Davies, Office and Production Assistant, joins Lorpen with more than eight years of customer service and four years of office management experience. Bilingual in both Spanish and English, Catalina will work closely with production and production planning and streamlining the commercialization of Lorpen products.
Lorpen has recently rolled out with several new product lines in 2011 including performance socks for kids, a collection of trail running socks for both men and women, and a new collection of ski and snowboarding socks. Facility expansion is also underway with the addition of 10,000 square feet in their Puebla, Mexico site to accommodate the sales demand and improve finishing, raw materials storage and logistics processes.
