Sun Valley Resort announced today a new uniform partnership with Helly Hansen, the leading apparel provider for mountain sports professionals around the world. Starting October 2014, Helly Hansen will outfit America’s original year-round resort with outerwear, midlayers, baselayers, socks, beanies, and footwear for all seasons and weather.
With the addition of Sun Valley Resort to the family of Helly Hansen partners, the namesake company of Helly Juell Hansen, who pioneered the world’s first waterproof outerwear, now outfits more than 40,000 mountain professionals at more than 70 resorts worldwide.
“Sun Valley is a magical place with a rich history and legendary terrain. Helly Hansen, one of the world’s most trusted performance apparel brands, is a great fit with the resort,” said Erik Burbank, vice president of global marketing for Helly Hansen. “Sun Valley is a perfect place to test, develop and enjoy Helly Hansen products. The feedback we receive from the professionals on the mountain, many of whom spend more than 100 days on snow each season—directly influences our designs to ensure we can live up to our standard of not compromising between style and performance.
As part of the agreement, Sun Valley Resort will collaborate with Helly Hansen to provide professional design input and collaborate on marketing initiatives. Sun Valley Resort selected Helly Hansen as its uniform partner for its durable, high-performance technologies and its commitment to Scandinavian design. In 2015, Sun Valley Resort’s sister property, Snowbasin Ski Resort, will also join the family as an official Helly Hansen partner.
“We are very excited that Sun Valley will be joining a premiere group of ski resorts from around the globe that choose Helly Hansen as their uniform partner,” said Jack Sibbach, director of marketing and public relations for Sun Valley Resort. “We will be providing Helly Hansen high-performance outdoor garments to our team members, so that they will look great and feel confident while providing guests with an unparalleled Sun Valley experience.”
