Talent, OR (January 14, 2014) —Technical and lifestyle headwear brand Sunday Afternoons has announced a new partnership with Andala Ltd., a Canadian distribution company that serves outdoor, sporting goods and lifestyle industries. Under the leadership of outdoor industry veteran Patrick Leeder, Andala is now the exclusive distributor in Canada for Sunday Afternoons and its sister brand, Madrone Technical Headwear.

“Pat and his team have deep roots within Canada’s outdoor and lifestyle retail landscape, and have had incredible success in growing brands there,” said Angeline Lacy, President of Sunday Afternoons. “We are excited to draw upon those connections as we grow our Canadian presence.”

Leeder has more than 30 years of experience within the outdoor brand industry, including positions within footwear companies KEEN, Bata and Merrell. From 2008 until the summer of 2013, Leeder was president of KEEN Canada, a position he accepted after selling the distribution rights in Canada for KEEN, which his company, Leeder Sales, had owned from KEEN’s inception in 2003. Key Andala staff members were previously senior members of KEEN Canada’s management team.

“Everyone at Andala is thrilled to have the opportunity to develop Sunday Afternoons in Canada,” said Leeder. “It’s a fantastic brand with tremendous potential for rapid growth, and we know that Canadian retailers and consumers alike will be very receptive to its outstanding products.”

Andala’s corporate offices and operational facilities are located in Brockville, Ontario, Canada.
