Ogden, UT —February 25, 2011–Suunto, a global leader in sports precision instruments, announces its sponsorship of Vail Recreation District’s (VRD) 2011 La Sportiva Vail Mountain Trail Running Series based in the Vail Valley, Colorado.
As a key sponsor of the La Sportiva Vail Mountain Trail Running Series, Suunto will award the series winner in each category an M5 Running Pack. The Suunto M5 Running pack includes a heart rate monitor, Suunto Foot Pod to gauge speed and distance and a Suunto Movestick Mini to wirelessly upload watch data and logs to Movescount.com.
The La Sportiva Vail Mountain Trail Running Series has been named the best race series in 2005 and 2008 by Colorado Runner magazine. This summer’s seven-race series marks the 14th year of the program in the Vail Valley. The series will take place during the course of the summer and range from 3.2 to 14.5 miles.
