Bryson White hired as new brand manager for the Americas
OGDEN, Utah – February 17, 2016 – Suunto, a global leader in sports precision instruments announces the appointment of Bryson White as brand manager of the Americas. White will manage the brand’s communication and marketing strategy in the Americas while working with the product and executive teams in Finland. In his new role, White will lead the charge in making Suunto visible and expanding brand awareness throughout the region.
White enters the position with extensive marketing experience, including the management of the “Suunto Ambitions” project, which he completed while working as the director of marketing operations for Weld, a digital marketing and advertising agency based in Salt Lake City, Utah. To increase brand awareness, White and his team at Weld created “Suunto Ambitions” resulting in a social media platform and digital campaign with a social media takeover and targeted media placement.
“We are excited to bring Bryson into our Utah office and have him work in-house with our team,” says Olli Osara, regional commercial director for the Americas. “He has shown a love for the brand and brings with him a fresh perspective. He has great energy, creativity and marketing skills that will assist in growing the brand in the right channels.”

White lives in Willard, Utah with his wife and new baby. He is an active member of the local search and rescue team, and an avid whitewater kayaker, skier and mountain biker.
Suunto was born in 1936 when Finnish orienteer and engineer Tuomas Vohlonen invented the mass production method for the liquid-filled compass. Since then, Suunto has been at the forefront of design and innovation for sports watches, dive computers and sports instruments used by adventurers all over the globe.
