Stockholm, Sweden – January 7, 2020 – With a vision of being the world’s first completely circular outdoor company, Swedish sustainable apparel pioneer, Houdini Sportswear, is closing in on this goal with its latest collection launching at Outdoor Retailer later this month. With 72% of the styles in the Fall/Winter 2020 collection made from at least 50% recycled fibers that can also be recycled again, Houdini continues to demonstrate its leadership in sustainable apparel design and manufacturing.
“To create a waste-free world, we need to make sure products are both made from recycled materials and can be recycled again,” said Houdini CEO Eva Karlsson, “It’s about choosing technologies that work in partnership with nature rather than at the expense of it.”

The cornerstone of the Fall/Winter 2020 collection is the all-new Mono Air Houdi. This fleece jacket, developed in collaboration with Polartec®, sheds up to five times fewer fibers than other high-quality fleece jackets on the market thereby limiting microplastics released into the environment. In addition, the Mono Air Houdi features 73% recycled fibers, is Bluesign®-certified and utilizes a mono-material composition making it completely recyclable and an ideal addition to Houdini’s circular ecosystem.
“We are consistently challenging both our supplier partners and customers to buy into sustainable innovation”, added Karlsson. “In the case of the Mono Air Houdi, we offer a way forward for the fleece category which I think is really needed.”
In addition to the Mono Air Houdi, the Fall/Winter 2020 collection features innovative pieces such as the Puffy Square, an ultralight sheet of insulated fabric that is wrapped around the body like a skirt, as well as the super-light and irresistibly warm Fall In Parka. The collection also boasts a full series of hard shells designed for mountaineering and skiing as well as a range of uber-comfortable base and mid-layers.
