The Challenge: Along with the Case Foundation, Parade Magazine is presenting America’s Giving Challenge and awarding $50,000 to the top eight charities whose supporters have attracted the most unique donors to their cause.

American Foundation for Children with AIDS, the organizers of the fall climbing event Climb Up So Kids Can Grow Up, appeals to the outdoor industry to help. In the past, the organization had been supported of many outdoor companies, including National Geographic Adventure, MadRock, Black Diamond, Petzl, Larabar, and CerconeBrownCurtis.

Individuals or companies can donate a little as $10 before the end of January, 2008, to give the AFCA a chance to receive a large monetary gift with which we can send half a year’s worth of medication to the children in our programs.

AFCA hopes that they can motivate between 700 and 1,500 donations to win the grand prize donation from Parade and Case. There’s only 14 days to go.

“Imagine the power of your $10 dollars as the key to hundreds of children living longer lives,” said Tanya Weaver, Executive Director. “That’s little more than a latte and bagel, and it means so much to so many little people.”

PASS IT ALONG: The Charity Badge
The idea of this challenge is not only to donate a minimum of $10, but also to invite all your friends to participate. It is only through inviting others that AFCA can reach the number of people we need to reach in order to win.

Those interested in donating can click on the Charity Badge, and pass this link to friends. Or visit www.helpchildrenwithaids.org.
