Shipping in October 2009, the new fall outerwear line from Planet Earth features exclusive recycled nylon fabrics and sustainable insulation housed within stylish, progressive designs that have defined the brand since its inception in 1990. During the past year, Planet Earth’s design team, led by industry veteran Paul “Krak” Arnston, focused on enhancing the performance of the line worthy of action sports wear and tear with a style and fit that appeals to a wide range of consumers in the 24-45 age range.

Offering a blend between action sports function and street-wise fashion, the new Planet Earth assortment offers a fresh perspective on the cross pollination of urban, suburban, and natural settings with a full range of jackets, pants, thermals, and accessories in earthy hues and earth sensitive materials offered at competitive prices.

The men’s Branch Jacket, $230 MSRP, reflects standard Planet Earth outerwear features such as hand silk screened printing on waterproof, breathable 100% recycled nylon, ThermaPlush lining, taped seams, hanging hood, and multiple interior and exterior pockets. For women, the Snooky Plaid Insulated Jacket, $280 MSRP, highlights the brand’s use of 100% recycled insulation in a clean looking, engineered plaid design.

In an effort to offset conventional practices in the apparel industry, the company aims to produce a line that is 100 percent environmentally sensitive with the launch of its Spring/Summer 2010 collection. Considered an evolution of the brand’s limited-run Green Label concept, the debut will be a year round, top-to-bottom assortment of eco-sensitive apparel. The line will include incorporating organic cottons and recycled materials and components that are easy on the eyes, easy on the body, and easy on the planet.
