Team PrimaLoft® Conquers the Canadian Death Race

Albany, NY – Big cheers to PrimaLoft® Western Territory Manager, Russ Angrignon, and his wife, Delena, who conquered The North Face Canadian Death Race, a challenging 75-mile trail running event co-sponsored by PrimaLoft®.
Over 1,200 racers gathered for the extreme event which was held August 1-3 in Grande Cache, Alberta, Canada. There were 215 teams of three to five racers entered into the Team category, of which 187 teams finished within the required 24 hours. In the Solo category, 231 individual racers entered with only 73 able to finish the grueling course.
Not only did Russ and Delena complete the race in less than 22 hours, they placed extremely well – 35th and 36th respectively. Delena placed 3rd in her age category and Russ 11th. Both ran the race unsupported and carried enough food to sustain them through the duration of the race.
A highlight of this event is the kids’ race where over 250 children ages 4 -16 competed on a 5 km course with the entire community cheering them on.

Race officials and staff wore TNF Redpoint Jackets with PrimaLoft embroidered on one sleeve and Canadian Death Race embroidered on the other, and additional jackets were used as draw prizes and awards for participants.
