Technogym USA named exclusive fitness supplier to Shea Homes Trilogy communities

Technogym USA, The Wellness Company,has been selected as the official equipment supplier for six Shea Homes Trilogy communities now under development. Under the agreement, Technogym will install its Wellness System in each new community’s fitness facility, including its Strength, Cardio and Easy Line products.

The first system is now installed at Trilogy Monarch Club, located on California’s central coast near Nipomo, slated to open January 2008. The remaining five Trilogy communities – two in Arizona, one in Colorado and two others in California – will open their Clubs between 2007 and 2010. All Trilogy Clubs are managed and operated by BlueStar Resort and Golf Management, a member of the JF Shea family of companies.

The reason Technogym was selected from the range of exercise equipment on the market was because of its exclusive Wellness System that is designed to enhance the quality of life with today’s more active seniors. The Wellness System is the industry’s first Customer Relationship Management solution that blends regular exercise, a healthy diet and a positive approach to life through easy-to-use software, state-of-the-art equipment, education, and professional staff into a uniquely efficient total health system.

This variety in wellness maintenance equipment is in direct response to the demand by the Baby Boomer market who are proving to be more active and vibrant in their later years than past generations. Industry statistics reveal that people 55 and older are the fastest-growing population in the nation’s health clubs, up by 380% since 1987, according to a recent report from the International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA).
