TEKO, a company founded on the belief that high-performance socks don’t have to leave a heavy imprint on the planet, is pleased to announce that the company has been awarded the 2008 “Derryck Draper Award for Innovation” by the UK-based Outdoor Writers & Photographers Guild (OWPG).

OWPG is comprised of writers, journalists, photographers and editors who are actively and professionally involved in sustainable activities in any outdoor setting. The panel of judges unanimously selected TEKO as a pioneer in the marketplace, producing an outstanding performance sock range while maintaining impressive sustainability credentials.

“We are thrilled to receive this year’s Innovation Award,” said Gordon Fraser, Chairman of TEKO. “It is an honor to be the first sock company to be recognized by the OWPG, a group of professionals who, like TEKO, is guided by a true commitment to sustainability and a deep respect for the outdoors.”
