LITTLETON, N.H. (August 3, 2011) – Tender Corp., a leading developer of skincare and first aid products designed for active lifestyles, today announced that it has promoted Frank Meyer to the position of Chief Marketing Officer.
Most recently Meyer served as Director of Marketing for Adventure® Medical Kits, Tender’s specialty outdoor and sporting goods division.
In his new role, Meyer’s core responsibilities will be to lead the company’s marketing department in developing effective marketing and business strategies that support all of Tender’s domestic and international divisions and the channels they sell into, including food, drug, mass, sporting goods, specialty outdoor and private label.
Said Tender Corp. CEO Jason Cartwright, “Frank’s granular understanding of product development and commitment to best practices in all aspects of consumer and trade marketing has been integral to helping make AMK into the premiere developer of first aid and survival products in the specialty outdoor retail channel. We’re confident he can transfer his experience and skills in helping to grow Tender’s businesses and product lines in other channels and territories.â€
Coincident with Meyer’s hiring, Tender is also significantly increasing the size of its marketing department and is currently evaluating candidates for the positions of brand manager and category specific product managers. Once fully staffed, the newly expanded department will also encompass Tender’s current marketing personnel, all of whom will report to Meyer.
“The expansion and restructuring of Tender’s marketing resources was necessary to manage the company’s recent rapid growth and to drive the growth the company expects to enjoy in the coming years, said Meyer.
“Tender has never been stronger,†Meyer continued. “Our products are sold around the world and many of our brands — whether it’s AfterBite, SOL or AMK — are category leaders. I’m honored that Tender has entrusted me with this important role and I am excited about the opportunity we have to significantly strengthen the company’s position in the first aid, skincare and foot care categories.â€
An avid whitewater kayaker, skier, backpacker and trail runner, Meyer co-founded Adventure® Medical Kits with Dr. Eric A. Weiss and Amy Weiss in 1988. The company was later purchased by Tender Corp. in 2004.
Meyer is based in Bozeman, MT, where he lives with his wife and three children.
