Portable Shelter Combines the Comfort and Versatility of a Hammock with the Security and Multi-Person Occupancy of a Tent For Backpackers and Hikers.
Tentsile, designers and builders of portable tree houses that combine the comfort and versatility of a hammock with the security and multi-person occupancy of a tent, introduces their newest product, the FLITE. The FLITE, available in January 2016, is a feather light two-person shelter designed for backpackers and hikers. Tentsile will be at the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market Show debuting the FLITE and the rest of its collection at booth 51.
“The FLITE is an excellent choice for hikers and backpackers who value a lightweight, cost effective shelter that is comfortable, bug-free, quick and easy to set up,” said Alex Shirley-Smith founder of Tentsile. “The FLITE fills the gap between tents and hammocks and allows you to camp in really unique locations and check out views that you wouldn’t otherwise be able to appreciate. All while you are out adventuring.”
Tentsile’s FLITE is the lightest and smallest two-person tree tent that features a full insect mesh top with two doors, and a removable waterproof flysheet for unbeatable views. The FLITE utilizes high-strength 25mm webbing straps and one ratchet device easily secures the tent to trees, trucks or boulders. The tent is fully collapsible, portable and set up and take down are performed in 5 minutes or less. The tent size 8′ x 11′ or 40 square feet of floor space with a capacity for two adults and their gear with a maximum load of 485 lbs. The tent packs to 18” x 6” x 6” and weighs just 5 lbs.
