(Jackson Hole, Wyo.) – The producers at Teton Gravity Research (TGR) are honored by the recognition received at the 15th Annual Powder Video Awards for the feature length ski film Almost Ablaze, a global odyssey combining state-of-the-art cinematography and the most progressive riding on The Planet.
Almost Ablaze was awarded Movie of the Year, Best Female Performance (Angel Collinson), Breakthrough Performance (Nick McNutt), and Best Powder (Sage Cattabriga-Alosa, Johnny Collinson, Dylan Hood, Nick McNutt) at the 15th annual Powder Video Awards.
This recognition follows awards for ‘Film of the Year’ and ‘Rookie of the Year’ (Nick McNutt) at the International Freeskiing Film Festival (iF3), official selections at the Banff Mountain Film Festival and Danish Adventure Film Festival, with upcoming nominations at the Coldsmoke Awards.
“We have been making films for 19 years,” says TGR co-founder Todd Jones. “It is pretty humbling to win an award that stands for the most progressive and relevant portrayal of skiing media in the industry.”
Almost Ablaze is now available on iTunes, Blu-ray and DVD.
